Welcome to our SSWC Riders page, where you can find out more about cycling and the cycling activities we offer or promote. Five of SSWC’s finest are now fully qualified Mountain Bike Leaders, meaning we can organise and take/lead/support rides in the local area, and there are plenty of great local rides- off road and accessible for children too. We also have a range of tools and consumables to help cyclists in need.
**Save the planet, cycle to SSWC for a class and get discounts on the cost of it. Bring a bike lock or borrow one of ours.**
Here is a link to some great rides promoted by City Connect, some of which you don’t have to travel too far from SSWC.
Below are some rides we recommend with downloadable pdf route descriptions. The easiest thing to do is to download it to your phone and use it as you are cycling. Please familiarize yourself before the ride. Let us know of any mistakes as we are only human.
If you have any ideas of your own let us know.
Esholt 1. Ride from SSWC is about 7 miles long, some riding on back and private roads, chance to stop for a cappo on the way
Calverley Woods, check out the map here this is a 10 mile ride, some long hills, mainly off road or quite residential roads but you do have to cross a busy main road- use the pelican if at all unsure.
